Preferential Interest Rates
You will be entitled to a preferential interest rate above our normal term deposit interest rates on your local and foreign term deposits.
We will maintain its exclusivity with strict liability criteria to maintain either a minimum balance of JOD 20,000 in deposits and investment options with HSBC or by a minimum net salary transfer of JOD 1,500 per month into your account.

HeadStart Account
Designed with your children’s financial future in mind, HeadStart is a comprehensive package that will help you give your children the required financial support for their journey through life.
Available for children below the age of 18, HeadStart has a lot to offer:
An excellent beginning
HeadStart gives you the opportunity of opening a Statement Savings Account for your child. For balances in excess of JOD 5,000, Time Deposits can also be an option.
The account will be opened in the name of your child, but you as a parent/guardian will retain full control of the account. There are no minimum balance requirements or service charges for this account.
Interest to build on
HeadStart offers an attractive interest rate for credit balances of JOD 100* and above. The interest will be calculated on the minimum balance of the month and will be credited to the account every month. The higher the balance, the higher the returns. Furthermore, should you decide to restrict withdrawals from your child’s Savings Account (blocked accounts), a higher interest rate will be applicable.
Regular savings option and raffle draw
If you wish to pay a regular amount every month into your child’s HeadStart Account, an automatic transfer instruction will be set up free of charge from your account with us.
And that’s not all, once you choose this option, your child will be entitled to enter a raffle draws** every year (First Prize: Personal Computer).

Free ATM card
Your child can also receive personalised ‘deposit only’ ATM card free of charge. This card will enable them to deposit cash directly into their HeadStart account through any of the HSBC ATM’s in Jordan.
Special welcome gifts for your children
Your children will receive exciting gifts on account opening. Additionally, children will get a free attractive savings box – a safe place to keep their money until it’s time to deposit it into the account.
Special Savings Day
One Savings Day will be held every year to encourage your children to save while having fun at the same time. You will be invited to bring your children to the bank along with their savings boxes. They can then personally deposit their savings into their HeadStart Account.
As a reward, for a minimum deposit of JOD 100 and above made on this day and retained in the HeadStart Account for a minimum period of 3 months, we will credit a bonus interest of the deposited amount (up to a maximum of JOD 50 for blocked accounts and JOD 25 for normal Savings Accounts) into their HeadStart Accounts.
